Speaking on the Kotaku Talk Radio podcast, Bizarre Creations’ Gareth Wilson has dashed the dreams of many a gamer with news that the Liverpool-based studio has no plans for a new entry in the Geometry Wars series.
“Right now we don’t have any plans for Geometry Wars 3 or anything,” said Wilson.
Some hope does, however, remain. Wilson added: “That doesn’t mean that at some point [Geometry Wars designer] Stephen [Cakebread] won’t have a genius moment and will start working on it, but right now Stephen is working on all sorts of other projects.”
For now we’ll have to make do with the wonderful Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2.
