BioWare may have plans to announce its new IP at Gamescom, judging by a teaser site launched by the developer last night.
The new website – youve-been-chosen.com – features a trailer for an unidentified title that asks: “What really happens when we sleep?”.
“The time is near. They are watching. Your power is rising,” reads a post on the site. “Cologne, Germany. You’ve Been Chosen. Watch the new ‘Nightmare’ teaser from BioWare. Sign up for the latest updates.”
The tease is likely linked to BioWare Edmonton’s new IP which promises to offer a world as “big and imaginative” as the developer’s previous titles.
As well as the unannounced game, BioWare is currently developing Dragon Age: Inquisition and the next Mass Effect.
UPDATE: Could the new game be called “Shadow Realms”? As highlighted by VideoGamer.com reader Graviton, the image in a teaser email sent to fans is named “ShadowRealms_Teaser_video.jpg”.
Furthermore, EA also filed a trademark for Shadow Realms back in February. This is probably it. Look out for more at Gamescom next month.
