Details of a recent hack to a “decade-old” BioWare server system supporting the Neverwinter Nights forums were released in an email sent out today by Bioware Edmonton studio GM Aaryn Flynn.
The email states that the company’s investigation into the hack determined no credit card information or sensitive data was stolen.
However, user names, passwords, email addresses, mailing addresses, names, phone numbers, CD keys, and birth dates may have been compromised.
All EA account passwords have now been reset in the interest of caution, and anyone aware of suspicious activity are encouraged to call Bioware’s customer support at 1-877-357-6007 or visit the FAQ.
