A swanky HD update of Beyond Good & Evil, Ubisoft’s critically acclaimed but commercially unsuccessful adventure romp, will be the star guest at Microsoft’s imminent Xbox Live Arcade House Party.

Beyond Good & Evil will arrive fashionably late to the party, however, which kicks off on February 16 with ARC System Works’ Hard Corps: Uprising.

Other attendees, one of which will filter in each week, will include Runic Games’ Torchlight, a well-received RPG moulded in the spirit of Diablo, Bejeweled Blitz and Full House Poker.

Pricing details have yet to be confirmed, but 1200 points a pop is a fair bet.

The XBLA House Party picks up the baton from a string of recent XBLA events: the annual Summer of Arcade, autumnal Game Feast and wintry Games for the Holidays.

All of these games rev our engine, so colour us excited. Beyond Good & Evil is a certainty, and we’re hoping the HD rejazzling is handled with the respect and attention the game deserves.
