Speaking to Next-Gen, Ubisoft chief exec Yves Guillemot has revealed that the in development sequel to Beyond Good and Evil, first revealed at Ubidays 2008, will be made to be more accessible to the new generation of gamer.

“We saw with Beyond Good & Evil that so many customers were extremely happy with the game,” said Guillemot. “We had a different audience at that time. We had more core gamers than casual gamers than we have today.

“We think the game was probably a little too difficult for the general gamers at that time. We’re going to make it more accessible and make sure that it’s really done for the new generation that’s come into videogames.”

A very impressive trailer was shown at the close of Ubisoft’s Ubidays 2008 conference, but there’s currently no word on a release date or which platforms the game is coming to. However, it was confirmed that the trailer used in-game assets so we’re assuming the hardware is going to have to be pretty powerful, perhaps excluding the Wii from the equation.
