The Steam Deck is a wonderful handheld system from Valve as it allows fans to play a large number of supported PC games on the go. Upon launch, there were different versions of the system available to buy with different levels of storage. Fortunately, if you bought the 64GB or 256GB version, you can now buy the “best 1TB Steam Deck micro SD card” that has just received a massive price slash.
In our Steam Deck review, we gave the platform a glowing 9/10. Valve recently released an update that fixed a “rare bug” along with a “game resolution” issue for non-Steam games. Final Fantasy 16 is one of the most anticipated new games set to be supported soon, but hopefully improvements will be delivered following the mixed bag performance of the Final Fantasy 16 demo.
The system requirements for a game as big as Final Fantasy 16 on PC require 170 GB of free storage space. So, if you have the Steam Deck, to support ginormous games such as FF16, you may want to buy a 1TB SD card.
Steam Deck 1TB SD card receives price slash
The Lexar PLAY 1TB micro SD card is now available on Amazon for £61.72. Per IGN, this is “one of the best Steam Deck micro SD card options on the market today,” and its’s a “significant price drop versus its $129.99 list price”.
It’s not specified how long it will be on sale, so pick it up as soon as possible if you are interested. It is absolutely perfect if you have either the 64GB or even 256GB version of the Steam Deck as it will significantly improve your storage space. It’s even worth it if you have the 512GB version of the handheld system.
In addition to using it for the Steam Deck, it’s worth noting that it also supports the Nintendo Switch as well as other smartphones and tablets. Alongside 1TB of storage space, it also has a speed read of 160 megabytes per second, which should result in fast transfer speeds as well as faster loading for apps.
There are other versions of the Lexar SD card available to buy, but it’s the 1TB that is highly recommended the most. The sale is available for the United States and United Kingdom, and, if you live in the UK, it comes with free delivery.
