Chart-Track has confirmed that Battlefield V's physical sales were down more than half in comparison to 2016's Battlefield 1.

The World War II shooter debuted in fourth place behind Red Dead Redemption 2, Call of Duty:  Black Ops 4, and FIFA 19. However, while it wasn't exactly a great start, it's important to remember that Chart-Track does not take into account digital sales.

This is important, particularly with Battlefield V, as the game was available in digital form early for those who purchased the Deluxe Edition. Early access was also given to members of Origin Access Premier.

So, in other words, there's a strong chance that Battlefield V still sold a hefty amount of copies that weren't shifted through brick-and-mortar retailers.

I reviewed Battlefield V for VideoGamer and thought it was a solid shooter, despite being let down by a few annoying bugs and poor design choices with its single-player campaign. Multiplayer-wise though, you can't really go wrong.
