A TV adaptation of Battlefield spin-off Battlefield: Bad Company is in production at Fox, TV website Deadline Hollywood has revealed.

The hour-long show, which is titled ‘Bad Company’, will tell the tale of the game’s four happy-go-lucky leads Marlowe, Sweetwater, Haggard and Redford as they “exit military life and enter the private sector”.

The show is being penned by Alias producer John Eisendrath, alongside help from novelist Patrick O’Brien and DICE’s Patrick Bach.

Battlefield: Bad Company launched in June 2008, and proved a hit with fans for its comical narrative. A sequel released two years later.

But despite shifting focus onto the core Battlefield series, DICE veteran Lars Gustavsson suggested last month that a third game could still happen.

“Last we heard from the misfits in Bad Company was a postcard in June from Bahamas where Haggard and the group had opened up a beach bar,” he said. “It’s really up to them [whether Bad Company 3 will be developed]…will keep you posted… ;)”
