The release of Battlefield 4 expansion pack Naval Strike has been delayed on Xbox One, too, DICE has confirmed. The DLC now won’t be available on the platform until early April.

Confirmation follows yesterday’s news that the expansion had been delayed on PC due to an issue discovered late in development, which DICE says could “increase performance issues on mid-range to high-end PCs”.

The problem with the Xbox One release, meanwhile, appears to be linked to issues with the animation system that could “hinder players from engaging targets in set circumstances using popular weapon configurations.

“We know that many Battlefield 4 Premium owners wanted to play Naval Strike today,” DICE added. “However, we didn’t want to release the new content until we believed it was quality content.”

PC and Xbox One Battlefield 4 Premium owners will still be given two weeks early access to the content once it’s released, suggesting its general release may have been pushed back beyond the original April 8 date.

The Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 releases of Naval Strike are unaffected and available to download to Premium members now.
