At the moment, picking up a copy of Medal of Honor: Warfighter’s Limited Edition is the “only way to guarantee entry” into next year’s Battlefield 4 beta.
But “there will be other ways to get into the [Battlefield 4] beta aside from MoH Warfighter,” Battlefield 3’s community manager Ian Torney has revealed, who took to Reddit to clarify issues surrounding yesterday’s announcement of Battlefield 4.
Torney answered multiple questions and concerns from Battlefield fans, stating that DICE will not be “abandoning Battlefield 3 or working any less hard to bring you the best expansions we can”.
“We will continue to support BF3. DICE and EA are dedicated to continuing our support for Battlefield 3. Just as we’ve continued to support and maintain Bad Company 2, we intend to continue providing the best Battlefield 3 experience we can well into the future and past the release of End Game and Battlefield 4.”
In response to fans asking why the next game wasn’t Bad Company 3, Torney said that DICE was still “very proud and fond of” its Battlefield: Bad Company series.
Access to Battlefield 4’s beta will likely be similar to the way in which EA handled access into the Battlefield 3 beta last September.
Customers who pre-ordered Medal of Honor’s Limited Edition were granted 48 hours early access to the Battlefield 3 beta before it went live to the public.
