Following a record-breaking launch which saw an estimated five million copies of Battlefield 3 make their way into the hands of gamers worldwide, EA has said that server issues are almost behind them.
Problems are now all but gone, with server uptime stabilised to roughly 98.9 per cent, according EA estimates.
“With a commitment to support the game as a software service, EA is listening to consumer feedback and is making daily updates and improvements to ensure an optimal online experience for all,” added the publisher.
Battlefield 3 is out now for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game entered the UK Video Game Chart at No.1 and has already shipped 10 million units worldwide.
Thankfully for EA, server problems at launch don’t appear to have had a negative impact on the game’s sales.
