Over 1.3m users have purchased Battlefield 3 Premium since the service’s launch last month, EA has announced.

The impressive figure was announced during EA’s Q1 FY13 financial results this evening, where it was revealed that EA had generated $37 million in revenue via the service.

All revenues earned through Premium will be deferred until EA’s Q4 FY13 results, however, following the release of Battlefield 3’s fifth expansion pack End Game.

It was revealed earlier this month that Battlefield 3 Premium had sold 800,000 units within its first two weeks on-sale.

The service grants users access to all of Battlefield 3’s DLC at no extra cost and in advance of each pack’s release. Additional exclusive items such as weapon skins are also awarded to Premium members.

Battlefield 3 continues to outsell EA’s expectations.

According to the firm, Battlefield 3 and FIFA 12 managed to sell over 2 million units between them in the last quarter alone.

EA said today that it had shipped over 15 million units of Battlefield 3 to date.

Battlefield 4, the next game in the award-winning series, is expected to launch in 2013.
