DICE has cleared up any confusion surrounding some of the currently announced DLC and pre-order content for Battlefield 3. This includes the Physical Warfare Pack and the Back to Karkand expansion. Karl Magnus Troedsson, general manager, DICE, attempted to explain things on the Battlefield 3 blog.

The Physical Warfare Pack is a pre-order exclusive for retailers, with GAME and gamestation carrying the promotion in the UK. This is a timed exclusive, with the content being unlocked for free for all players later in the year.

The second announced DLC, the Back to Karkand DLC, is coming post launch and is a similar size and scope to the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam expansion. Anyone who pre-orders Battlefield 3 will be able to play Back to Karkand when it’s released at no extra cost. Players who don’t pre-order the game will be able to get hold of the Back to Kakand DLC at the same time, but at an additional cost.

Does that clear things up for you? Are you going to pre-order to get your hands on Back to Karkand free of charge?
