EA and DICE have announced that Battlefield 3 will be released on October 25 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
The date puts the game in stores several weeks before Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
A multiplayer clip revealed Operation Metro, an infantry-focused map in the centre of Paris. EA also revealed Battlelog, a new and free way to interact with the Battlefield multiplayer experience.
Experience all this in the multiplatform open beta in September on all platforms.
EA’s live E3 demo then moved to the campaign, showcasing just how amazing looking Battlefield 3 is – shown running on PC. DICE senior producer Patrick Bach is playing and we head to Tehran to see a tank assault. The scene opens with a military man looking a dinosaur toy given to him by his child. You’re playing as Corporal Jonathan Miller and get inside a tank to take control of a canon.
It’s a massive tank battle and we’re also shown a sequence in which we looked down on the warzone via a drone – the visuals are black and white.
Get a new gaming PC because this game looks amazing.
