A novel called Battlefield 3 – presumably about upcoming shooter Battlefield 3 – has popped up for pre-order on online book retailers.
Amazon lists the book as 400 pages, with a release date of October 25 – the same day Battlefield 3 launches in the US.
Barnes & Noble lists the authors as both Battlefield 3 executive producer Patrick Bach and Andy McNab, the ex-SAS officer who wrote Bravo Two Zero.
Battlefield 3 is released in Europe for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on October 28.
According to Barnes & Noble, people who purchased the Battlefield 3 book also snapped up the three titles in Stieg Larsson’s Millennium trilogy – The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest, and The Girl Who Played with Fire.
