Gamers looking for large-scale multiplayer action in DICE’s upcoming Battlefield 3 will want to ensure they pick up the PC version.
According to comments made by a DICE spokesperson, the 24-player limit in the console versions has forced the developer to scale down large maps which were designed to host up to 64 players on PC.
The shrinkage only applies to ground battles, with aerial warfare taking place in the same areas on both PC and consoles.
Battlefield 3 is scheduled for release late this year on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
