US retailer GameStop has listed system specifications for the PC version of Battlefield 3.
These have not been officially confirmed by EA or DICE, but what does GameStop claim you’ll need to run the game on minimum settings? You’ll need at least a 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of RAM and a DirectX 10 or 11 compatible graphics card. Windows XP, which only supports up to DirectX 9.0b, won’t be compatible.
If you’ve got Windows 7 64-bit, a quad-core processor, 4GB of RAM and a Direct X 11 graphics card then you’ll be sitting comfortably within the recommended specifications.
VideoGamer.com’s latest Battlefield 3 preview was based on the PC version of the game. We said the game “is a sight to behold: when running on a PC, that’s admittedly more expensive than my house, Battlefield 3’s take on contemporary warfare is simply unmatched.”
Who’s got a PC beefy enough to hit the recommended specifications, then?
