Battlefield 3 will ship on two Xbox 360 discs in Japan, that’s according to a poster for the game reported by Hachimaki.
The poster states the game comes on “DVD-ROM x2” for Xbox 360, whereas the PlayStation 3 version is packed into a single Blu-ray.
It’s not clear if this means EA and DICE will split the campaign and multiplayer elements out onto their own disc, or indeed if the information is accurate and applies to the game’s Western release.
DICE recently confirmed that Battlefield 3 won’t allow civilian casualties and that fans shouldn’t worry too much about Battlefield 3 on consoles.
Battlefield 3 will be released October 28 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
I can see the marketing now: “Battlefield 3 is so explosive it comes on twice as many discs as Modern Warfare 3.”
