DICE has released the first details on Battlefield 3’s fifth and final expansion pack, Battlefield 3: End Game.

The pack, which is due for release in March 2013, crams in four new maps “designed for high speed combat and action”, three new vehicles (including dirt bikes), and a new dropship, which will offer support to ground troops by deploying vehicles from the skies.

End Game also sees the return of Capture The Flag, last seen in Battlefield 2: Modern Combat.

“Battlefield 3: End Game delivers some of the most high-speed warfare to date across four vast maps,” says DICE.

“Race through enemy lines using the new dirt bike, bringing speed and agility to the Battlefield, or fight back aerial assaults with new lightweight AA vehicles. Coordinate lightning fast attacks and defenses in the return of the classic Capture The Flag game mode. In the skies, the new dropship introduces the ability to turn the tide with rapid deployment air drops of troop transports.”

As per usual, Battlefield 3: Premium owners will receive the content at no additional cost.

Details on Battlefield 4, which is set to release between April 2013 and March 2014, are still to be revealed.
