Battlefield 3 is so large that the Xbox 360 version of the game has to come on two discs, EA has explained – with the multiplayer and co-op on one, and the single-player campaign on another.
“Battlefield 3 for Xbox 360 ships on two discs with endless hours of spectacular high-definition gameplay,” revealed EA, speaking to Eurogamer this afternoon.
“Disc one features the stunning multiplayer, co-op levels and HD installation content. Disc two features the superb single-player campaign.”
Of course, the million dollar (or pound, to be British) question is: can you play one disc without the other? It’ll be a serious pain if you have to disc swap, but if you don’t, that means you could theoretically lend half the game to a chum.
We’ll find out soon enough. Release day is less than two months away. Naturally the PS3 version of the game will come on a single Blu-ray.
