Battlefield 3: Armored Kill will release on September 4 to PlayStation 3 Battlefield 3: Premium members, EA has announced, with a release to Xbox 360 and PC Premium members following a week later.

Non-Premium members will be able to download the expansion pack on September 18 on PS3, and September 25 on Xbox 360 and PC.

Armored Kill is the third expansion pack for Battlefield 3, and features four brand new maps – including “the biggest map in Battlefield’s history” – five new vehicles, a new game mode, plus additional unlocks and assignments.

The expansion also introduces the AC-130 gunship, a powerful warplane which acts as a mobile spawn point and includes seats for two gunners.

A price point for Armored Kill has yet to be announced, but it’s expected to cost the same as prior Battlefield 3 expansion packs at £11.99/1200 Microsoft Points.

DICE announced on Friday that it would be quadrupling the amount of official servers on the console versions of Battlefield 3.
