Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and EA’s Battlefield 3 will release within days of each other, according to a report on MCV. Modern Warfare 3 is expected in the second week of November, so you can expect Battlefield around then too.
Speaking to MCV, a retail source revealed EA’s plan to release its highly anticipated and gorgeous FPS Battlefield 3 in the same period as the next Call of Duty.
“EA hasn’t been shy with Battlefield 3. It’s well known it will tackle CoD head-on,” said the source. “We’re ready for them to arrive within days of each other.”
Modern Warfare 3 is yet to be announced, but a reveal is expected in the next few weeks.
EA seems to be taking no prisoners with Battlefield 3. EA president Frank Gibeau has already claimed that the upcoming DICE FPS is “flat out superior” to CoD. Only time will tell if that will be the case. If the release date rumour is true, November is going to be an excellent month for FPS fans.
