Electronic Arts recently revealed that Battlefield 1 would be joining the EA Access and Origin Access games Vault. Announced alongside Titanfall 2, which recently released into The Vault, Battlefield 1 is now available for download for subscribers on Xbox One and PC. To get the game on Xbox One you will have to open the EA Access app on the console and get it off there.

Battlefield 1’s arrival onto EA Access comes in advance of the release of the next DLC expansion pack In the Name of the Tsar, which is due to release in September. This expansion will feature six new maps, including some ‘night maps’, such as Summer: Neville Nights and Prise da Tahure. Alongside the new maps there’ll be additional weapons and classes, including the controversial Women’s Battalion of Death, which includes a female sniper.

Battlefield 1 was released in October 2016 and has gone onto achieve pretty decent sales success and critical acclaim (and we loved it in our review). According to EA, the game has been played by over 21 million players worldwide.

To get access to Battlefield 1, a paid subscription to EA Access or Origin Access is required. A membership grants access to pre-release trials of games (most recently Mass Effect: Andromeda), a 10% discount on EA digital purchases, as well as full-game downloads from the The Vault. It costs £3.99 per month, or £19.99 for the year.

Battlefield 1 is out now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
