Battlefield 1’s first free map ‘Giant’s Shadow’ will be available to Premium Pass players and pre-order customers next Tuesday, December 13, and one week later on December 20 to everybody else, EA has announced.
The new map is set amongst the wreckage of a huge crashed airship in France during the Battle of the Selle, as British forces attempt to liberate the area from the German Empire. You can get an early glimpse at it in the trailer below.
There’s a new weapon, too: the Grenade Crossbow, which the Support class can use to silently fire grenades at the enemy.Â

More new maps for Battlefield 1 are due to arrive in 2017, with the first premium expansion ‘They Shall Not Pass’ set to launch in March.
