The Kickstrater funding campaign for World War II multiplayer shooter Battalion 1944 has been a huge success, surpassing its £100,000 target in under three days.

“£100,000 in under 3 days! THANK YOU! We’ll have a fully written update coming tomorrow! Woo!” Tweeted The Bulkhead.

Executive game producer Joe Brammer was also on Twitter celebrating: “Tonight we all celebrate as a community! Tomorrow we hit the grind to make this game as good as it can possibly be!”

In an earlier Kickstarter update the team had said they were “totally overwhelmed” by fan response to the campaign.

“We knew this is something we wanted to make but to have the love for the WW2 shooter genre validated by so many people in such a short amount of time is incredible,” added the post.

The team also confirmed that it will update the campaign with stretch goals soon, and you can also look forward to a new video.

At the time of writing the campaign has reached £110,107 with 27 days to go.
