Batman: Return to Arkham won’t release until November “at the earliest”, according to a new Eurogamer report.
The site claims to have been told about the new launch window by “multiple sources” following its official delay last month, with the game’s frame rate said to be causing a “major issue” for developer Virtuous Games.
The game had previously been due to launch on July 29, but was delayed to “give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience”.
Batman: Return to Arkham includes remastered versions of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City enhanced for PS4 and Xbox One. If the game fails to make November, it could even be pushed back to early next year, the report adds.
“We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready,” Warner Bros said at the time of the game’s delay. “We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans.”
