Eidos has announced that a playable demo for Batman: Arkham Asylum will be released on August 7 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
The demo will be offered on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, PSN and via batmanarkhamasylum.com for Games for Windows.
The Batman: Arkham Asylum demo opens as the Dark Knight and Commissioner Gordon return The Joker back into confinement at Arkham Asylum. Things soon fall apart as The Joker gains the upper hand and springs a trap, setting Arkham Asylum’s occupants upon Batman.
In the demo players will get the chance to sample the game’s FreeFlow combat system and the cunning stealth of the Invisible Predator mechanic. Players can also unlock character bios, as well as get a sneak peak at some of the infamous foes that Batman will encounter.
Batman: Arkham Asylum is scheduled for release on August 28, 2009.
