Majesco and Tiger Hill Entertainment have announced a new third-person action title for next generation platforms. Demonik is set for release in 2006 and will allow players to control the ultimate bad guy, wreaking havoc with his special powers. Acclaimed horror writer/director Clive Barker is heavily involved with the title, with him overlooking story, character designs, cinematics and voice talent. He also has the option to write and direct a feature film based on the game.

Demonik represents the extraordinary collaboration of some of the finest creative talent working in Hollywood and video games today,” said Ken Gold, vice president of Marketing for Majesco. “We’re confident that this culmination of artists, storytellers, and developers will define the action/horror genre for the next-generation consoles.”

Demonik will be an intense gaming experience,” said Clive. “I’m having a lot of fun enriching the game’s mythology and polishing the characters till they shine. And, of course, adding a little bit of Barker darkness. Demonik promises to be a game that you will play with clammy palms.”

An early trailer for the game doesn’t show much in the way of next generation visuals, but we’ll try and bring you impressions of the game from E3.
