Bandai Namco has updated the official SoulCalibur website with a special 20th Anniversary page, featuring a look back at the franchise, release timeline, and messages from people involved in the games.

You can check the trailer below.

We’ve gone through the messages from those close to the franchise and can’t see anything relating to a new game announcement, so for now it looks like this is simply a fond look back at the franchise.

That said, all the messages are in Japanese – we’ve used Google’s crude translation – so there’s a chance something has been lost.

A SoulCalibur game has not been released for current gen systems, with the last fighting instalment being SoulCalibur V for PS3 and Xbox 360 back in 2012.
