A new Baldur’s Gate 3 mod adapts some of Blizzard’s most popular franchises into Larian’s RPG by boldly creating a series of new Feats inspired by Heroes of the Storm. Not the first Blizzard-themed mod to hit the role-playing game—check out the World of Warcraft custom campaign for that—the new mod aims to bring more variety to the D&D adventure with a host of new powers.

Baldur’s Gate 3 meets Heroes of the Storm

Created by prominent BG3 modder Yoonmoonsick, the new Baldur’s Gate 3 Heroes of the Storm mod adds seven new Feats inspired by characters included in Blizzard’s less-popular MOBA. Available to nab here on Nexus Mods, the new add-on allows you to take on passives inspired by playable heroes.

While the actual Heroes of the Storm game has 90 playable characters from across Blizzard history, the first version of this mod includes just 7. In the mod, players can take on the abilities of characters from Diablo, Starcraft and Warcraft, but not Overwatch. (Phew.)

Here is every character included at the time of writing:

  • Arthas: The Lich King
    Passive: Frostmourne Hungers
Melee weapon attacks deal an additional 1d4 cold damage. You Have Resistance to Cold Damage.
    Q: Death Coil
Fires a corrupted essence to deal damage.
    W: Howling Blast
Deals cold damage and may freeze the target.
    E: Frozen Tempest
Emits an aura that deals cold damage to nearby enemies.
  • Diablo: Lord of Terror
    Passive: Black Soulstone
The next time damage would reduce the affected entity to 0 hit points, it remains conscious with Level plus Constitution Modifier hit point left.
    Q: Shadow Charge
Charge forward and attack the first enemy in your way. The target may be stunned.
    W: Fire Hands
It emits fire from your hands, dealing damage to the front.
    E: Overpower
Pick up an item or creature and use it to make a melee attack. The target may be stunned.
  • Illidan: The Betrayer
    Passive: Betrayers Thirst
When a melee weapon attack hits, you regain 1d4 hit points.
    Q: Dive
    Leap down unto a foe.
    W: Sweeping Strike
Charge forward and attack all enemies in your way.
    E: Evasion
Attackers have disadvantage on attack roll against you.
  • Kerrigan: Queen of Blades
    Passive: Assimilation
When you kill a hostile creature, you gain Temporary Hit Points.
    Q: Ravage

    W: Impaling Blades

  • Kharazim: Veradani Monk
    Passive: Iron Fists
Melee Unarmed Attacks now have a 25% chance to deal 1d10 Bludgeoning damage to the target.
    Q: Radiant Dash
Dash quickly to the target. Heals if the target is an ally, and deals damage if the target is an enemy.
    W: Breath of Heaven
Heal yourself and all nearby allies and increase their movement speed.
    E: Deadly Reach
It delivers a fierce four-hit combo to deal damage.
  • Raynor: Renegade Commander
    Passive: Give ’em Some Pepper
Weapon Attacks now have a 25% chance to trigger a splash effect in a small area, dealing 1d10 Piercing damage to the primary target.
    Q: Penetrating Round
Shoots a penetrating projectile that deals damage to targets and knocks them back.
    W: Inspire
All nearby allies can use their reaction to make one weapon attack.
    E: Adrenaline Rush
Regain 1d10 + level + Constitution Modifier amount of Hit Points.
  • Uther: The Lightbringer
    Passive: Eternal Devotion
When you heal another creature, it gains resistance against Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing damage dealt by weapon attacks.
    Q: Holy Light
Heals the target and restores half of the healed amount to yourself.
    W: Holy Radiance
Release a wave of light to heal allies and damage enemies.
    E: Hammer of Justice
It strikes the enemy with a hammer, potentially stunning them.

There’s currently no word from the modder if there are any plans to expand the Heroes of the Storm mod to include other characters from Blizzard’s MOBA. However, considering the sheer talent of the BG3 modding community, if someone wants it, someone will make it.
