ATI has announced a new video card. The X800 XL 512MB has double the amount of memory of the manufacturer’s current high-end video card. The card will be produced by a number of ATI partners, which include ABIT, Connect3D, MSI and more.
Early reports suggest that the card offers little improvement over the 256 MB version until very high resolutions are reached. We doubt this will stop the hardcore upgraders from rushing out and paying over the odds for one of these new cards though.
