Atari Europe has announced the release of Star Raiders available for download on Xbox LIVE Arcade and on PC via Steam.
Star Raiders was originally released in 1979 and helped create the first-person Space combat genre. This new iteration will include many of the original game’s battle features such as space warps and galactic tactical maps. New to the game will be the introduction of customisable ships.
Star Raiders currently carries a price of 800 Microsoft Points on XBLA.
A bit of a blast from the past there, But it should warm the cockles of any retro gamers heart.
