Hardcore racing sim Assetto Corsa will release on PS4 and Xbox One on April 22, 505 Games has announced.
Developed by Italian studio Kunos Simulazioni, Assetto Corsa made its debut as an Early Access title PC back in 2013, where it developed a name for itself amongst the racing community for its realistic handling and graphics.
The console versions will include over 90 high-performance cars, including the Ferrari LaFerrari, Pagani Zonda R, and Mercedes C9, plus over 20 different track âconfigurationsâ, including courses from Silverstone, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Autodromo Nazionale Monza and Nurburgring-Nordschleife.
Pre-ordering the game, meanwhile, will offer access to three bonus cars: the Ferrari 488 GTB, Audi R8V10 Plus and Corvette C7 Stingray.
Both versions will run at 60fps, but âlike any other gameâ, Kunos Simulazioni co-founder Marco Massarutto tells Eurogamer, the PS4 version runs at 1080p, with the Xbox One version coming in at 900p.
âWe fought a lot to have full HD also on Xbox One, but thereâs no way for us to do it,â Massarutto said. âForza did a very good job â but they have dedicated libraries. Regardless, they did a really good job. When I played the game, I thought âwowâ. Theyâve done such a good job with the visuals.â
