Assassin’s Creed Unity has been delayed by two weeks and will now launch November 13, Ubisoft has announced.

The publisher says the two extra weeks will ensure that the game’s quality meets fans’ and the team’s lofty expectations.

“As we got close to the finish, we realised we were near the target but still needed a bit more time to hone some of the details to make sure Assassin’s Creed Unity is exceptional,” said Vincent Pontbriand, senior producer at Ubisoft. “We sincerely appreciate players’ commitment to the game and their patience. It’s just a couple more weeks. And it’s going to be worth it.”

Ubisoft also confirmed that the team will continue to work beyond the ship date to build a Day 1 patch promising even more improvements.

In addition, the European release date for Assassin’s Creed Rogue has been pushed back from November 11 to November 13.
