Update: Assassin’s Creed Unity, coming exclusively to next-gen platforms, will offer up to four-player cooperative play in the campaign, Ubisoft confirmed today during the Microsoft E3 media briefing.

The game is set in Paris 1789 and features huge crowds of NPCs with which players can interact.

Original story: Assassin’s Creed: Unity looks set to offer four-player cooperative play, after the game’s E3 LA Convention Center banner was snapped featuring four different assassins.

Our own Jim Trinca managed to take a grab shortly after arriving in LA.

Rumours of a four-player cooperative narrative first emerged in April over on The Escapist. The game is set in Paris during the French Revolution.
