Assassin’s Creed Unity will release this holiday season on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Ubisoft has announced.
“We have been working on the new Assassin’s Creed for more than three years and although we weren’t quite ready to show you our full vision for a next-gen only AC, it seems Abstergo are trying to force our hand!” reads the blurb attached to the announcement trailer.
The video is said to feature in-game footage.
The blurb also includes the phrase: “Qu’ils mangent de la brioche”, or “Let them eat cake!”, which along with the guillotine at the end of the trailer indicates the action is set during the French Revolution at the end of the 18th century.
The announcement follows leaked screenshots earlier this week revealing the France setting and the new hero.
Look out for more details in the months ahead.
