Xbox poster boy Major Nelson has confirmed that Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter are now available on Xbox One's rapidly-expanding backwards compatibility lineup.

Liberation was originally released as a PlayStation Vita-exclusive and spin-off to Assassin's Creed 3, although it was later ported to PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 with spruced up visuals. It's this version you'll be able to play on Xbox One.

Meanwhile, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter arrived back in 2006 for PS2, PC, Xbox, and Xbox 360. The latter version offers a number of features not present in its last-gen counterpart, including the ability to switch between first and third-person perspectives.

As always, if you own a copy of either game you can pop them into your Xbox One and start playing now, or re-download them if you have a digital version. Failing that, they can also be purchased on the Xbox Store.
