Ubisoft has announced Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD, a high-definition port of last year’s PlayStation Vita title due for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC early next year.

According to Ubisoft, the downloadable title features a “complete graphical overhaul” that takes advantage of the available hardware, alongside remastered music, “revamped gameplay” and brand new missions.

Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation launched on PlayStation Vita last October and followed the story of female assassin Aveline through the city of New Orleans. However, it wasn’t received quite as well as the core title, reaching a Metacritic of 70.
