According to an exclusive from Insider Gaming, the unannounced Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake is rumored to release before March 31. More specifically, it is “scheduled to release the week of March 23rd”. Assuming this happens, it’s another big game coming out in a month that is already stuffed with massive releases.
The Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake isn’t official, but it’s been rumored for a long time. Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson claimed in April that it was originally intended to release in 2025, but the delays for Assassin’s Creed Shadows pushed everything AC-related back. Because of this, Henderson believes Black Flag was postponed to 2026 and the next new installment, Hexe, will release in 2027.
Black Flag is considered by many as one of the best Assassin’s Creed installments, if not the best. If it is coming out as early as March next year, it’s possible Ubisoft could announce the remake at The Game Awards on December 11.

- Assassin’s Creed Remake – week of March 23 (rumor)
- Silent Hill Townfall – March 26 (rumor)
- 007 First Light – March 27
It’s possible some games could be delayed seeing as publishers no longer have to worry about GTA 6 until November. But, as things stand right now, March is going to be a bloody war. Nearly all of the games are massive, as Saros is a PS5 exclusive from the developer of Returnal, Crimson Desert looks too good to be true, and 007 First Light is James Bond, one of the biggest IPs of all time.
Mouse Detective P.I. For Hire also looks incredible with its retro 2D cartoon aesthetic, and there are persistent rumors about Silent Hill Townfall releasing in March, too. Adding Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake will bleed people’s wallets even more. We also can’t forget February is full of heavy-hitters, too, with Resident Evil Requiem, Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, and Reanimal.
Remember that this is just a rumor rather than anything official right now. The Game Awards is just a few weeks away, and hopefully, we’ll get answers there.
