Assassin’s Creed 4’s single-player DLC ‘Freedom Cry’ has been delayed on PC by a few days, Ubisoft has confirmed. The content had been due to release on the platform today.

In a message posted on the Ubisoft forums, Ubisoft’s UK forum manager explained that the DLC had been delayed to ensure it lives up to expectation.

“The PC version of the Freedom Cry DLC for Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag will release in the coming days,” reads the statement. “We are taking the extra time to apply a final layer of polish to ensure that it meets the expectations of our fans.”

Freedom Cry launched on Xbox 360 and Xbox One today, with a PS3 and PS4 release expected tomorrow.

The DLC features an all new single-player story following the travels of assassin shipmate Adewale.
