Assassin’s Creed 3 has thus far proved a huge success for Ubisoft with sales estimated at over 3.5 million copies worldwide during its first week.

“First-week sell-through sales for Assassin’s Creed 3 are estimated at over 3.5 million units, representing a year-on-year increase of more than 100%,” said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot as the publisher announced its sales and earnings for the six months ended September 30, 2012.

Assassin’s Creed 3 charted in the UK at No.1, becoming the publisher’s biggest ever launch and outselling Revelations by an impressive 117,000 units.
