The Evil Dead's claret-spilling hero Ash J. Williams is set to appear in Dead by Daylight, developer Behaviour has announced.
Williams isn't the only horror movie legend to appear in the game. Previously, we've seen the likes of Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street and SAW's Jigsaw guest star in the survival horror romp.
Things are a bit different with Ash, though, who joins Dead by Daylight as a playable character rather than an antagonist. What’s more, Bruce Campbell is voicing him. Brilliant!

As for The Evil Dead, well, if you haven't seen it yet, go do yourself a favour and check it out. The film came out in 1981, and spawned one of the biggest cult film franchises in history, making a huge star out of Campbell in the process. The Evil Dead was also directed by Sam Raimi, who you probably recognise as helming the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies.
