Tank-busting actioner Armored Warfare is launching for Xbox One early next month, My.com has announced.

The game is free to play, although much like War Thunder and other games of its kind, it’s packed with microtransactions to tempt you into parting with your real-life cash.

Armored Warfare will also ship in three different versions if you fancy getting a bit more bang for your buck: Advanced Edition, Ultimate Edition, and Elite Edition, each of which offers a bunch of extras including new vehicles, in-game currency, loot crates, and titles.

Players will be able to dip into a bunch of PvE and PvP offerings, and you can also team up with a fellow tank commander in co-op to tackle some of the game’s more challenging missions. There’s even a ‘thrilling lore-driven’ mode that offers a narrative to soak up, distributed via numerous Seasons per year.

Those of you who love smashing s**t up with tanks will probably have played Armored Warfare on PC back in 2015. It was then ported to the PlayStation 4 the following year, although Xbox One gamers have been clamouring for a chance to embrace the carnage ever since.

Armored Warfare rolls out for Xbox One on August 2.
