Arc Raiders has broken its player count record again with over 350,000 players during the weekend and Embark has shared that new content is set to release this month, including the Stella Montis map.

Embark’s extraction shooter had an impressive launch topping the Steam Global Sales chart with a peak concurrent of over 260,000 players. This was more than the 189,668 for the free-to-play Server Slam, and, on November 2nd, Arc Raiders beat its all time peak with a record 354,836 (via Steam Charts). While official sales aren’t known, it’s estimated to have sold between 1.56 – 1.58 million on Steam alone.

If you’re one of the hundreds of thousands playing right now, you’ll be pleased to know that Embark has shared what’s coming in November and December. Plans can change, but below is the roadmap:

November:

  • New Map – Stella Montis
  • Community Unlock Event
  • New Arc – Matriarch and Shredder
  • New Gameplay Items
  • New Quests

December:

  • Snowfall Map Condition
  • Flickering Flames Event
  • Expedition Departure Window
  • New Raiders Deck
  • New Quests

Unfortunately, there’s no dates for any of the above. Embark has also teased “ambitious post-launch plans” for 2026, and internally they consider Arc Raiders a “10-year game”.

The player count will naturally decline over time, but so far the game is a huge success. There was scepticism when Embark announced at Gamescom 2024 that the game would no longer release free-to-play, but right now it is performing incredibly well, and its player count is bigger than the highest ever achieved by the free-to-play The Finals.
