Apex Legends hasn't even been available for 24 hours yet, but it's already managed to smash past one million unique users.

The battle royale title achieved the milestone in just eight hours, which is pretty impressive. Yes, it's a free-to-play game, but when you have Fortnite Battle Royale gobbling up a lot of players' time, it's still a pretty big deal for a new title.

Apex Legends is set in the Titanfall universe, and is a spin-off game where tactical play is the order of the day as you command powerful 'Legends.' Of course, this does mean that we're not getting Titanfall 3, which is a shame.

Respawn has already confirmed a pretty extensive roadmap for the game, which includes a bunch of battle passes seeing players through until the end of the year.

I’m so overwhelmed right now, @PlayApex broke a million unique players in under 8 hours. ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you so much for showing up and being part of this with @Respawn you are amazing!! pic.twitter.com/lvNgfwwKhl
