APB: reloaded is very close to launch, according to the most recent developer blog by GamersFirst’s Bjorn Book-Larson.

Book-Larson explained the team is considering launching the game after one of its next upcoming builds.

“In August the development team focused on finishing up the first 1.5.3 version build (which we released today). Builds 1.5.3 through 1.5.7 represent the ‘Home Stretch’ for the entire Open Beta process, and after 1.5.7 we anticipate considering making the fateful leap to the Live version of the game (wooo!).”

Over the course of its future builds, GamersFirst is planning to address the lack of player control by including more customisation, and small battles known as Fight Club.

Additionally the team is addressing the issue of player motivation by planning on making changes to the Threat Level mechanic and give players a way of tracking their progress.

APB Reloaded is the relaunched, free-to-play version of the failed Realtime Worlds MMO All Points Bulletin.
