K2 Network, the parent company of APB: Reloaded’s publisher Gamersfirst, has confirmed a complete business realignment and management shake-up.

Speaking to Gamasutra, chief marketing officer Rahul Sandil stated that co-founder and CEO of APB: Reloaded Joshua Hong has stepped down.

Appointed in his place is Bjorn Book-Larsson who has previously served as CTO and COO of K2.

The loss of Hong is said to be amicable, while he remains an investor and board member in the firm.

This change-up in management comes just months after major lay-offs were seen across GamersFirst, with employees dropping from 215 to 180.

Gamasutra also stated they have received anonymous emails detailing an ongoing power struggle in the offices of GamersFirst.

Despite these potential difficulties behind the scenes, APB: Reloaded hit retail stores in Europe this month.

Additionally the company is currently developing a new IP, as well as the internally-developed MMO Hailan Rising which is being created for PC, iOS, and Android.
