Dave Jones, the creator of failed MMORPG All Points Bulletin (APB) has joined developer Reload Productions on the project APB Reloaded.

Reload have stated Jones will “serve in an advisory role and will share his vast game design experience during critical design stages of the ongoing development of APB Reloaded.” The developer took control of the title from its original studio RealTime Worlds late last year and plans to re-release it as a free-to-play MMO sometime in 2011.

APB is a cops and robbers style massively multiplayer third-person shooter where players attempt to control certain areas of the fictional city San Paro.

It’s still not clear how much will actually be “reloaded” in Reloaded. APB was riddled with issues, from its strange – if not impossible – car driving system to its tedious and repetitive quests. The game is going to need a lot of work even as a free to play title.
