A new line of Angry Birds LEGO toys will launch in spring 2016 to coincide with the release of The Angry Birds Movie, Rovio and The LEGO Group have announced.
The Angry Birds Movie, a full-length feature film, is due to premiere in May 2016.
“The LEGO brand has an unparalleled ability to connect with people through products that spark creativity and imagination,” said Pekka Rantala, chief executive officer of Rovio. “We’re really excited to build experiences together with this amazing best-in-class partner.”
LEGO has previously partnered with video game creators to launch LEGO Minecraft, a successful range of LEGO toys.
Details of the Angry Birds LEGO collection will be released at a later date.
