Mobile games developer Rovio, creator of Chillingo’s smash hit Angry Birds, has announced that the specially themed Angry Birds Halloween has notched up a million downloads on the App Store in just six days.
“We’re delighted too see such fantastic reception for Angry Birds Halloween!” said Rovio. “We intend to continue creating more and more quality products and updates, and keep exceeding the expectations of our fans worldwide.”
Angry Birds Halloween is the first self-published Angry Birds title from Rovio.
The game is available priced £0.59 for iPhone and £1.19 for iPad.
The success of Angry Birds Halloween is a major achievement for Rovio, acting as an important step in its future of self-publishing games on the App Store.
The lack of a “lite” version also means the one million downloads directly translates to purchases.
